Terms of Service
Effective July 20, 2026
These terms apply to the Receipt Stack mobile application ("the app"), made by Maritime Digital. By using the app, you agree to them.
What the app does
Receipt Stack scans receipts and saves the images and an index of their details to cloud storage that you own and connect yourself (Google Drive or iCloud Drive). The app is a filing tool; it does not provide accounting, tax, or legal advice.
Your data, your storage
Your receipts are stored in your own cloud accounts, under their providers' terms (Google's or Apple's). Maritime Digital does not host, access, or control your files. You are responsible for your cloud accounts, including their security, capacity, and backup. See the Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
Accuracy
Text recognition and category suggestions are automated conveniences and can be wrong. You confirm every receipt before it is saved, and you are responsible for verifying amounts and details — especially where receipts matter for taxes, returns, warranties, or reimbursement.
Acceptable use
Use the app only as permitted by law and by the terms of your cloud storage provider. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app.
Warranty and liability
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Maritime Digital is not liable for lost data, missed deductions, rejected returns, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
Changes
The app and these terms may change over time. Updated terms will be posted at this address with a new effective date; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Prince Edward Island and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
